A new mezzanine bar is launching in Brum – and you’ll only be able to reach it by spiral staircase.
Inside there will be a secret garden feel with big plant installations and antique mirrors.
It will be at The Lost & Found on Bennetts Hill, which has closed for two months to undergo the transformation.
There will also be a feature pergola as part of the makeover.
A spokesman for The Lost & Found said: “Building on its former glory, housed in the Grade II listed building on Bennetts Hill, the decadent drinking den is set to be beautifully transformed, featuring a new mezzanine bar reached only via a spiral staircase to apothecary heaven, and a striking, raised feature pergola.
“The hidden bar will be getting a top-secret entrance makeover, whilst stunning design elements include antique mirrors, brass and steel detailing, and statement plant installations, staying true to Hettie G. Watson’s passion for all things botanical.”
There will also be a new menu featuring hero dishes such as chicken Milanese and slow cooked beef ragu pappardelle, a new pizza oven for those looking for a quick bite to eat and resident mixologists will be on hand for cocktails .
Weekend brunches will include Turkish eggs and brown butter pancakes washed down with bottomless flutes of prosecco and Mimosas and there will be leisurely afternoon teas too.
The soft launch will happen in February with pre-launch offers including:
• 50% off bottomless brunch on Sunday February 25
• 50% off afternoon tea, lunch and dinner on Monday, February 26
• 50% off lunch and dinner menu, as well as free cocktails in the bar on Tuesday February 27
Pre-book to enjoy any of these offers.
The doors will officially reopen on Friday, March 2.
